Spider Viens
Removal of Spider Veins in South Florida
Thin red veins sometimes found on the cheeks or nose can easily be treated with radiowave technology. High frequency radiowaves deliver very precise, gentle punctures in the skin. The ultrafine tip of the electrode is inserted into the unwanted vein. Only the tissue cells immediately adjacent to the electrode are affected.
This procedure is done in the office with a local anesthetic. Multiple visits may be required, depending on the extent of the problem.
Other options to remove facial veins:
Lasers and cautery are not as delicate as the radiofrequency electrode. As a result, more tissue inflammation may occur, resulting in increased redness and inflammation, as well as slower healing. Sclerotherapy is not indicated for the removal of facial veins and can have significant complications.
